The vampires of L house came
they came in the rain
they came without warning
in the rain

What's that sound in the hall?
shadowy figures tall
I attempted to curl into a ball
but they threw me up against the wall

Their eyes were black as night
and I was trembling with fright
I couldn't even stand
and they bored me out over this land
Now I've changed and I can see
there was no difference between you and me
except what you're forced to see
as the humans in league

They told me they don't want to live in this world
And I could see that they were
driven by sadness and rage
And I didn't even catch their names
but I can hear their voices in the rain

When the vampires of L house came

I once saw the vampires of L house attack
the man known as Horace T slack
they descended from the bows of a willow and dropped him in his tracks
And then his boys tried to help and came over
but they couldn't help him either
and what began as a little snack ended up as a full dinner

They told me they don't want to live in this world
And I could see that they were driven by sadness and rage
And I didn't even catch their names
but I can hear their voices in the rain
So snug under your covers tight
little child
and you might make it through the night
But if somethingÕs not feeling quite right
you'll wish at your disposal that you had the wolves of saint night
